From Iceland to Rome

KALEO had a dream.
On 2nd March 2024, they made it happen. This film commemorates their iconic 10th anniversary performance in front of the ancient Roman Colosseum, as well as the long – and sometimes lonely – road that led them there.
Watch them perform hit songs, including “Way Down We Go” and “No Good”, in front of an exclusive, intimate crowd as they bring their unique Delta blues-inspired sound to the Italian capital. The one-night-only event is available for fans in select cinemas around the world.

Where they came from
Hailing from Mosfellsbær in Iceland, frontman JJ, drummer David, and bassist Daniel were childhood best friends who performed together in their spare time. In 2012, they added lead guitarist, Rubin, to the mix – and KALEO was born. They began making waves on the festival scene in their home country before receiving a major record deal from Atlantic Records in 2015.
Where you’ve heard them
Whether you’re familiar with the band’s story or you’re new to KALEO, you’ll have surely heard some of their most loved tracks. They’ve been featured on TV shows like Lucifer and Grey’s Anatomy, game soundtracks for FIFA and Madden NFL, and much more – plus, Premier League football fans will have heard JJ perform his cover of “Country Roads” at Manchester United's Old Trafford this summer.
Why fans love them
KALEO fans don’t just listen to their music – they live it. “Way Down We Go” has been used in more than 3.4 million videos on TikTok, catapulting them to international success like never before. And fans can always count on KALEO for a live experience unlike anything else – before the Colosseum, the band performed in front of an active volcano in Iceland. And this is just the beginning.
